Le partenariat avec la région Centre

For some fifteen years, the Région Centre has supported restoration and development projects on heritage that is unprotected but listed with the I.S.M.H (Inventaire Supplémentaire des Monuments Historiques). From 2006 onwards, it decided to reinforce this work by entering a partnership with the Fondation du Patrimoine.

Since the year 2000, Région Centre's support only covered labels situated in Regional nature parks. In 2005 however, this agreement was expanded to include labels classified as 'uninhabitable rural.'

Now having a stronghold in the private domain, Région Centre were keen to extend their support to public authorities and associations. In this spirit, the F.R.P.C.P. (Fonds Régional Pour le Patrimoine Culturel de Proximité) was formed, supported by the Région and by the Fondation du Patrimoine. This common fund gives public authorities with under 3000 inhabitants or associations the possibility of obtaining 20 % subsidies (work cannot cost more than 200 000 euros), as long as they are already supported by a donation covering up to 5% of the work costs, excluding tax.

In this way, since the beginning of the year, around 60 projects have come to the Fondation du Patrimoine through the Regional Council.
